Turning down the “Noises” externally and internally in our minds!


There can be a lot of “noise” externally with people’s drama, gossip, other people’s issues playing out and the noise from social media & the several WhatsApp group all perpetuating our internal noise from our unconscious self, showing up in anger, frustration, procrastination, over-thinking, overwhelm, anxiety, etc. All this “noise” comes from our lower vibration but has a strong pull to drown out the “whispers” of our inner creative spirit and soul’s desires.


Our creative spirit and super-consciousness are the higher vibration within us all however we are wired to hear and follow the “noises” of the lower vibration because they are louder and driving our actions as it’s concrete and tangible versus connecting with our higher soul vibration which is gentle and speaks in waves of inspiration which don’t always make sense.

It’s our ability to let go of the need to make sense and going with the unknown to follow those whispers then we are truly connecting to our souls & hearts desires to guide us.


The first step to do this is to “let go of the need to know” and not let the “noises” guide you. I teach my clients techniques to shift gear and lean into following your heart and inner wisdom true nature & purpose to play out fully. This is a daily battle of evermore as the two exist side by side and the key is to notice what’s driving your action “the noises” or your heart. Once you’ve clocked you are in the “noise” it’s the point to switch gears to hear those whispers and for your creative spirit to be in the driving seat.


It can feel uncomfortable at first but also liberating when you choose to reconnect and refocus daily to your heart and turn down the volume of your unconscious mind. So, whenever you feel the “noise” gets to loud try the following techniques to begin shifting your focus back to your heart:


  1. Body Scan to connect with your physical body: As a daily practice, take a minute to do a mindful body scan to feel present and be still.

  2. Be fully present: Go for a mindful short 5-minute walk, being fully present and looking at the details of your surroundings like the trees, grass, buildings, sounds, etc.

  3. Be in Innocence and let go: Once you are fully present and mindful in your body, then connect with your heart and be in innocence, letting go of rational thoughts and feelings.

  4. Retune and Refocus to what your heart would love: If the “noise” is still loud, then write down the thoughts and feelings on a piece of paper to offload. Once complete, then retune and refocus back to your heart again – ask yourself “What would you love?” and receive. Just be in that space and higher vibration of what you would love and receive to hear your heart!

  5. Receive and listen to your heart: As things come up from your heart space, then write them down. This way, you see in the moment what your current reality thoughts and feelings are versus what your heart would love.

  6. Choose how and where you want to take action from: Then, it is your free will to choose how you show up and take action from your thoughts and feelings or inspired action from your heart.

  7. Choose to Put the power to follow your heart: My end result for all my clients and for you all would be to CHOOSE to put the POWER in your HEART and whenever you lose focus, reconnect back to what you LOVE to turn down the “noise.”


I use deeper structures and meditations with clients but this is a good starting point to build a simple step into your daily routine to refocus and reconnect whenever the “noise” gets too loud. Begin connecting back to your heart & souls desires to take inspired action from a place of love.
